S96T 32 THdy*** Se) Nevada County Nugget April 22, 1965.. er Is Made Available State Water Resources Director William E, Warne has advised county supervisors of the availability of $2,000,000 in state funds forrepair and restoration of public real property damaged by storm or flood, His letter to the chairmen of the county boards of supervisors said that the current Legislature appropriated the flood relief funds for public works other than streets, roads and bridges damaged between last December 1 and next June 30, Governor Edmund G, Brown signed the measure March 18. It is one part of the extensive program Governor Brown supported to aid communities stricken in the damaging storms and floods last Christmastime. The legislation was introduced by Assemblywoman Pauline L. Davis of Portola and Assemblymen Jesse M. Unruh of Los Angeles, Carley V. Porter of Compton, Jerome R. Waldie of Antioch and Frank P. Bellotti of Eureka and coauthorized by Senators Carl L. Christensen, Jr. of Eureka, Randolph Collier of Yreka and Frank S, Petersen of Ukiah, Warne's letter to the supervisors asked them to notify other local public agéncies of the availability of the relief funds. He invited public agencies that have suffered damage to obtain application forms and information from the State Department of WaterResources, Deadline for filing is October 1.
