Deaths BERTONCINI-—in Sierra Memorial Hospital April 16, 1964, Alfredo Bertoncini of Grass Valley. He was the husband of Annie L. Bertoncini, Grass Valley; father of Mrs. Jessie Stearns, Elko, Nev., and Raymond Pianezzi, Grass Valley; uncle of George and William Bertoncini, Grass Valley. He was a native of Italy aged77 years. He had been a resident of Grass Valley since, 1910. He was a machinist in the blacksmith shop of the Empire Mine for 29 years. Methodist funeral services were held in the Hooper Weaver Mortuary April 18. Burial was in Greenwood Memorial Gardens. +++ ++ KISTLE---in arest home April 16, 1964, JamesJ. Kistle of Sacramento, He was the husband of Wanetia Kistle of Sacramento; father of Sacramento Municipal Judge Oscar B. Kistle, Carl J. Kistle and Mrs. Esther Cajacob, all of Sacramento. His grandfather, William Kistle, crossed the plains in a wagon train from Illinois and joined gold prospec ~ tors in the Nevada City area in 1849. His father, James William Kistle, also was a Nevada City gold miner. He was a native of Nevada City, aged 84 years. He worked in the mines as a young man. He later became a blacksmith and worked in the Empire and North Star mines for many years. He moved to Sacramento in 1916.
