Pay Tribute To ‘Citizen Of Year’ Isabel Hefelfinger

shoulder, Mrs. Isabel R. Hefelfinger, Nevada County Historical
Society Citizen of the Year,
looked the celebrity, as she re
ceived twostanding ovations from
the crowd of approximately 200
who gathered to do her honor Friday night in the Nevada City elementary school.
Her pleasant, youthfully serene
face belied the more than 30
years of service she has given as
anurse, as a teacher, as a community leader to her native Nevada City.
After listening to word and song

brief:
“It is so wonderful to see all
my dear friends gathered together
--I don't think I need to tell you
anymore about myself! It is a
~. wonderful thing to live in a com
munity like this..
“Love each other, help each
other, work together towards each
other..nothing takes the place
of a friendly neighbor. I am
grateful to Nevada City. "
