entered the Mercy Order and
three years later took her final

her life,

to 80 guests by the Catholic

in rooms beautifully decorated
in pink, white and gold, Outstanding above the mountain
of gifts, was a wall panel created by a visiting.nun, with the
scripture verse, “In thee, O
Lord, have I hoped,—Let me
never be confounded,” Refreshments were served by the Parent’s Club—many of them her
former students,
During the festivities arranged by Sister Mary Paulette,

that many of her guests were
former students, and now grandparents, but she felt no older,
Many relatives attended the
celebration—a niece who is a
Holy Family nun; her 80 year

and others from Long Beach and
Los Angeles, Mother Mary
Charles of Omaha, Nebraska,

head of the entire order, was

teaches in Mt, St, Mary's, and
is looking forward to her diamond jubilee, When asked her
thoughts over this memorable
event in her life, she replied,
“I°ll never get over this, I was
so excited going into church
this morning, and I've been
walking on a cloud all day, A
bit tired, perhaps, —but aren't
these people wonderful?"
