A cracker barrel stood in thecorner of the McKillican and
Mobley Store when the former.
dean of women at the University of Nevada was a little girl
and her father owned the store.
Miss Mobley once told her
friends that her father's store
was the center of life of the
community, and a meeting place
for the town fathers.. .it was
her dream to see it restored.
When she retired in 1968 her
alumni and faculty friends decided to help make Miss Mobley’s dream come true rather
than giving her a traditional
testimonial dinner and a gold
watch,
These people in Nevada have
been working toward this goal
for some time and this week
have mailed a brochure to
alumni asking them to contribute to the "cracker barrel"
