Allteachers, except three who had resigned, were offered new contracts for the 1961-62 school year with two notable exceptions: Ursal Sanpp andJames Guinn, football coaches. Granting of tenure and authorizing the:contracts was held up until the end of the board: meeting in order to allow board members to have a personnel meeting, at the request of member Jack Brickell, Tenure was then granted all who qualified, and all but the two contracts were authorized. — . The board is understood to have desired to have a further discussion on the two noted contracts. Since both aretenure teachers, it is assured that the subject of idscussion is the sports program at the high school-probable football. _ And witha poor record last year, the high school coaches presumable are "on the pan" for their team record.
