4. id re ce of nt A TALKING BEAR is being used by teachers tor language development of students who have a limited vocabulary or delayed speech problems. A presentation of the program was made recently at the meeting of the Golden Foothill Club, an affiliate of Telephone Pioneers of America. Receiving the bear in center is Andy Divine and Ed Fellersen, counay superintendent of schools. Herbert Trittenbach (right) presented the program and at left is Mike Diener, publicity chairman for the club. Divine is teacher-principal of the Armory School for the retarded. Trittenback is holding the microphone/receiver used to make the bear operate. Wed., Aug. 1.1973 The Nevada County Nugget-9 Apportionment of + state taxes received Grass Valley, Nevada City and the county received this month’s distribution of statecollected taxes plus the semiannual apportionment of offhighway license fees. Nevada county received $10,814 from the July motor vehicle license fee account, $157 from the off-highway motor vehicle license fee fund, $4,168 from cigarette taxes and $57,799 from the July gas taxes. Grass Valley’s shares are $2,757 from motor vehicle. license fees, $40 from offhighway licenses, $3,118 from cigarette taxes and $5,779 from gasoline taxes.
