JONES BAR --Eighteen young adults from various parts of California and Oregon are currently enrolled in classes. at the Friends Summer Secondary School Quaker) being conducted atthe Hedrick Ranch on Jones Bar Rd, outside Nevada City. -The summer school camp is underthe direction of Paul Davis, teacher from The Dalles, Ore. and Harold Blinkenstaff, teacher from Placerville, Thecampis sponsored by the College Park Educational Assn, Students camp and eat under the trees. Their class room is the old barn on the ‘er Summer School ranch (see picture). Morning hours are devoted to discussions of three main subjects: Menand Women‘ s Role in Todays Society, World Economic Problems, and Ethics of Economics. a These subjects may seem rather weighty for the minds of 14to 17 year olds but they are tackled in class with a genuine enthusiasm. Young minds seriously seek the whys and wherefores of the ills of today 's complex society. The mean range ef tides at San Francisco is four feet.
