Robert McMasters will head
Curnow -Hallslife, accident
and health, and group insurance activities, it was announced this week by Stan
Halls.
Halls emphasized his
agency was keeping pace
with the county's growth.
McMasters has had life and
group insurance business experience throughout the last
three years.
He was a member of the
California Highway Patrol
for ten years, five of them in
in Nevada County.
McMasters resides with his
wife, Jeannette, and family
at 311 Washington Street,
Nevada City. Children are :
BobJr., 17, a Nevada Union
High School senior; Sue, 15,
high school junior; and Nancy, 13, 9th grader in the Nevada Union Junior High
School.
Curnow -Halls Agency has
been in business 40 years. It
was formed of other agencies
that date back to before the

Motel in Nevada City by Ken
Hogan of San Jose was announced this week.
Hogan was formerly chief
planner for the Ordinance
Division of Food Machinery,
and Chemical Corporation
for eight and one-half years.
His wife, Bernie, former
dental assistant, will aid in
the operation of the motel.
The Hogans have two college age boys, Dick, in hi
second year, andRon, a first
year veterinary student at
Fresno State College.
Former owners of the Wildwood Motel were Mina and
Wes Delany.

Bill For College
Nevada County will be billed for $122,084.91 for tuitionof students attending Sierra
College, during the 195960 school year.
This was revealed in statements filed with Placer
county superintendent of
schools, Albert F. Bequette.
The tuition bill presented by
college district Superintendent Harold M. Weaver does
not include students from the
Truckee area who reside with
in the school district.
Total tuition bills from 12
counties is $198,914.40, a
jump of approximately $15.000 voer the 1958-59 bills.
