Funds sought for restroom
Sixty-four dollarsand 93 cents
so far has been collected from
Nevada City donors for the repair of the restroom and shower
facilities in the quonset hut at
the Pioneer Park Senior League
Field,
Norman Oates, Virector of the
Nevada City Public Works Department, had estimated it would
cost $500, with volunteer labor,
to put the facilities in shape for
spectators and players,
The shower roomsare already
in existence in one side of the
quonset hut, and the other side
however,
visiting baseball teams are unable to use the shower rooms
now because of broken and worn
plumbing.
_
The Senior Baseball League
also uses the field during the
months of June and July and may
be called upon to host tournament
games in the future, but thegeneral disrepair of the restrooms
would be embarrassing to the
community when tournament
teams are visiting our field,
bringing families and friends,
All money collected has been
turned over ‘to the City of Nevada City and, has been, earmarked for the repair of the
quonset hut at Pioneer. Park,
