Fitzgerald, superintendent of the Brunswick mine. at Grass Valley, Writes from that town as follows to the New York Mining and Engineering Journal : “Seeing in a@copy of your condition of the Brunswick mine, and knowing much of it to be erroneous, I desire to correct it, it is true Mr. Fletcher, the manager formerly in charge, did make a statement of there being an ore-body in a certain part of the mine, which turned out to bea mistake, and which caused a large expenditure of money for work predicated on such a Statement. But it is not: true that there is no ledge, and ‘that the location and angle of ledge prevents a successful find. The ledge pitches at the average angle of all ore bodies in this district, and that ledge}. the bottom of the shaft it is not mineralized to amount to much value, but shows that it is capable of turning out @ pay ledge.
