St. Mary’s will be opening a new program this September designed specifically for four-year-old children. The program, presented in a Christian atmosphere, will focus on promoting intellectual, social and physical self-reliance in the young Methods and materials will follow the design of Maria Montessori and their own discoveries and to think for themselves. They also help youngsters gain the ability to use hands and fingers with control and to coordinate sight ‘and touch with thought and speech. , Pre-schoolers will meet from 12:30 to 3 p.m. The program introduces basic math and language concepts. Range of activities covers drama, science, social studies and religion, art and music. It group-learning situations. The kindergarten program meets from 8:30 to 11:15 a.m. It differs from the pre-school class in that activities are more organized and group-oriented ' in preparation for the first grade.
