The number of entires in the
1970 Nevada county fair is up
10 per cent from the successful 1969 fair, manager Malcolm
Hammill announced today.
Entries for the fair to be held
next week are 5,594; last year's
entries numbered 5,024. The incteases are mostly in baked
goods, paintings, arts and crafts,
photography, gold exhibits and
sheep by 4-Hers, Hammill said.
The number of entires in various categories are: animals,
including light horses, beef and
dairy cattle, sheep and dairy
goats, 429; junior horse show
and senior feature booths, 283;
agriculture, horticulture and
floriculture (flower arrangements and cut flowers), 1,621;
preserved foods, baked goods

BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Nevada

The amount of revenue from property taxes necessary to
support the City of Nevada City and its departments, and to
pay the bonded or other indebtedness of the City, for the fiscal
year ending June 30, 1971, is hereby fixed as follows:
