Henness Pass Head Bill King of Oakland was elected president of the Henness Pass Highway Association for the upcoming year ata campfire meet~ ing held at Meadowlake Saturday night. Marge Moore of Grass Valley waschosen vice president, while Mary Calkins and Pauline Mullis, both of Nevada City, were elected secretary and treasurer respec~ . , tively. Newly elected board members were Bob Wyckoff and Dr. Roy Stauffer, Nevada City; Pat Ingram and Delso Rapp, Grass Valley; George Brauns, Fresno and Herman Kinney, Oakland. Soine 20 vehicles and 100 per~ sons took part in the Association's 10th annual jeep trek across historic Henness Pass. Secretaries Eat Pasties The local association of legal secretaries held a pasty and swimming party last Thursday at the home of Mrs. Ruth Page in Grass Valley. Seventeen members and nine guests attended. Mrs, Ginger Marquard and Mrs. Page were chosen to represent the association at the Governor's Conference to be held at the Flamingo Motor Hotel in Santa Rosa August 9, 10, 11.
