Funeral services were held in the Bergemann Funeral Chapel Dec. 6. Sbarcea--in his home in Glenbrook, Nevada County, December 8, 1962, George Sbarcea. He wasthe husband of Paraschiva Sbarcea and father of Mrs, Bary Betts and George Sbarcea, both of Grass Valley, He was a native of Roumania aged 72 years. A funeral mass was held Dec. 6 in St. Patricks Catholic Church in Grass Valley. Burial was in the Catholic Cemetery. Knight--in the Nevada County Hospital, December 6, 1962, Tommy R. Knight. He was the son of Mr. and Mrs, Thomas Knight of Grass Valley and brother of Margaret Danley of Elk Grove, Mrs. Goldie Brannan of French Gulch, Mrs. Clara Prather of Sidney, Nebraska, Mrs. Evelyn McNulty of Brooklyn, NY and Mrs. Roxy Lytle of Montclair. He was a native of Woodland aged 18 years. He would have graduated from Nevada Union High School last June but was prevented bya lingering illness. Funeral services were held in the Hooper Weaver Mortuary Dec. 8. Burial was in New Elm Ridge Lawn. Nordin--in the Nevada County Hospital, December 6, 1962, Helen Nordin, She wasa native of Hungary aged 90 years, She had no known living relatives and had been a patient inthe Nevada County Hospital for five years. Funeral services were held Dec, 6 in the Bergemann Funeral Chapel. Cremation followed in Sierra View, Marysville. Heffren--in Sierra Nevada Memorial Hospital December 3, 1962, C.K. Heffren. He was the husband of Margaret Heffren of Grass Valley and father of Mary Jo Enright and Judy Ann Heffren, both of Grass Valley and Mrs, Louis A. Davis of Honolulu and Kenneth C. Heffren of Auburn. He was a native of Coloma aged 69 years. He wasa Grass Valley insurance man, Civic leader and sportsman. He was a past president of the Grass Valley Lions Club, a member of the Banner Grange and the Rifle Rod and Gun Club, Funeral services were held in Emmanuel Episcopal Church Dec. 6. Randall--in Nevada City, December 9, 1962, LydaJ. Randall. She was the mother of Mrs, Alice Marie Orzalli of Sacramento, Mrs. Claire Holbrook of Nevada City and Harrison Randall of Lakeport, grandmother of five and great grandmother of one. Shewas a member of Laurel Parlor Native Daughters of the Golden West. Her parents Mary and Harrison Odgen were pioneers, Mrs. Ogden
was born in Nevada City and Ogden in You Bet where he followed Hydraulic Mining for many years. Funeral services were held in the St. Canice Catholic Church Dec. 12. Burial was in Pine Grove Cemetery. Wood--in the Veterans Hospital in Reno, Nevada, December 8, 1962, Cecil E. Wood. He was the husband of Grace B. Wood of Grass Valley, brother of Mrs. Fred Hope of Grass Valley and Leo Wood of Montebello. He was anative of Owensboro, Kentucky, aged 68 years. He was a retired rancher and a former movie stunt man.
