To Look At Landscaping
Speaking of landscaping, Hart
said the 16-foot center strip of
the freeway would have a water
line down its paved center to
allow for maintenance of plants
or shrubs which will be in planters on the strip.
When the landscaping plan is
presented tothe city, the council
willhave “oneo two months, or
three, for landscape ideas", Hart
said. He toldthe council the state
will do what the city wants in
landscaping, but will start out by
presenting a plan, a suggestion.
The deputy state highway engineer said that he cannot assure
the extent to which the state can
grade and prepare the Coyote St.
site for city development as a »
parking lot.
"It is not a usual situation, "
Hart commented, “but the Nevada City freeway is not exactly
