But "Burgie” took leave to investigate the other afternoon---he found some meat and began chewing, only to have the trap spring onhisright paw. His howling set the ducksto quacking and Mr. Hosford took off to investigate, He whistled and the dog became silent, waiting for his masterto arrive. The dog will recover and is then expected to resume a special hobby, quail hunting. Hunting quail began a short time ago when Mr, Hosford took the pet with him and felled three quail with one shot.
