It opened its doors for the first time in 1961 with an enrollment of 1,100, The other new comers on the 49'er schedule will be Vallejo College and Santa Rosa College, Santa Rosa will become a member of the Golden Valley Conference in September, 1962. The other two teams on the 49'er’ practice schedule will portioned to the various counties according to the formula used by the Federal Government in distributing Federal Aid Secondary funds to the states---one-third on mileage ofcertain classes rural mail routes, The money from State sources is for the use of the counties in matching the Federal funds on the basis of approximately 60 per cent .
