@The Nevada County Nugget... December 13, 1967 PHOTO BY—Barbara Snow Pekarek, Heller Vows Exchanged Mr. amd Mrs. Allen Keith Heller, nee Judith Elaine Pekarek, are at home in Grass Valley following their marriage Nov. 25 in the Grace Brethren Church of Grass Valley. The Rev, Arthur L. Pekarek, father of the bride, officiated at the double ring ceremony, assisted by the Rev. Russell Williams. He also gave his daughter in marriage. The bride's parents reside in Grass Valley. The groom's mother was the late Mrs. Verlie L. Howard. A chapel length chantilly lace gown was chosen by the bride for her wedding. The gown featured a scalloped sabrina neckline, wristlet tapered sleeves and a bouffant skirt which was fashioned with several cascading tiers, Streamers fell on the chapel train from a peau taffeta bow at the waist back. Her elbow length veil was secured by a headpiece of orange blossoms and peau leaves, A single white orchid surrounded by chrysanthemums made the bridal bouquet. Peggy Pekarek, sister of the bride, was the maid of honor. g g g E i ag : i Valley. Mrs. Pekarek, mother of the bride, chose a hot pink chantilly lace dress, street length, and a white carnation corsage for her daughter's wedding. The young couple enjoyed a honeymoon__in San Francisco, The new Mrs. Heller chose a traveling costume of green mohair with black accessories, The bride graduated from Nevada Union High School and was later employed in Sacramento. The groom graduated from Norte Del Rio, Sacramento and is now a senior at Sacramento State College. He is affiliated with Phi Mu Alpha sinfonian fraternity. His future plans are to become a music teacher. The out of town guests included the Albert Patchings, the Bernard Penroses and Mrs, Grace Borrewitz, all of Long Beach. Rough's home, The group was shown how to make many types of ornaments from egg cartons, gilt, glitter, _ tissue and ribbon. Bridge Club Names Officers Nevada County Duplicate Bridge Club elected officers for 1968 during a membership dinner at the Bret Harte Inn last week. Ruth Floyd was elected president; Louise Wilkinson, vicepresident; Ja ck Oakley, treasurer; Laura Carlson, secretary. Evelyn Claytor was elected publicity chairman and Pat Swainston was named membership chairman, . The CYA party is scheduled for the 2ist, the teen dance the 16th and the annual Children's party will be held on Dec. 17th, The Children's Party, for the children from 1 to 12 will feature Margaret Chamberlain of Auburn and her Puppet Show, presenting "Miss Maggie and the Book-Bug."
