Vows Exchanged
Mr. amd Mrs. Allen Keith
Heller, nee Judith Elaine Pekarek, are at home in Grass
Valley following their marriage
Nov. 25 in the Grace Brethren
Church of Grass Valley.
The Rev, Arthur L. Pekarek,
father of the bride, officiated
at the double ring ceremony,
assisted by the Rev. Russell
Williams. He also gave his
daughter in marriage.
The bride's parents reside in
Grass Valley. The groom's mother was the late Mrs. Verlie
L. Howard.
A chapel length chantilly lace
gown was chosen by the bride
for her wedding. The gown featured a scalloped sabrina neckline, wristlet tapered sleeves
and a bouffant skirt which was
fashioned with several cascading
tiers, Streamers fell on the chapel train from a peau taffeta
bow at the waist back.
Her elbow length veil was secured by a headpiece of orange
blossoms and peau leaves, A
single white orchid surrounded
by chrysanthemums made the
bridal bouquet.
Peggy Pekarek, sister of the
bride, was the maid of honor.

and a white carnation corsage
for her daughter's wedding.
The young couple enjoyed a
honeymoon__in San Francisco,
The new Mrs. Heller chose a
traveling costume of green mohair with black accessories,
The bride graduated from Nevada Union High School and was
later employed in Sacramento.
The groom graduated from Norte
Del Rio, Sacramento and is now
a senior at Sacramento State
College. He is affiliated with
Phi Mu Alpha sinfonian fraternity. His future plans are to
become a music teacher.
The out of town guests included the Albert Patchings, the
Bernard Penroses and Mrs,
Grace Borrewitz, all of Long
Beach.

in marriage in an evening service Nov. 6, in St, Patrick's
Church, Grass Valley. Father

ceremony before an altar banked
with white daisies and chrysanthemums,
Susan, the daughter of Mr. and
Mrs. Paul T. Hansen of Lafayette, Calif. was given in marriage by her father. Mr. and Mrs.
William R. Moule, Grass Valley,
are the parents of the groom.
The bride chose a short, fitted white alencon lace with a
long sleeved tunic of the same
lace. A white silk petal crown

Star, last Thursday evening in
the Smartville Masonic Temple,
Vernon Williams' name was

report on the installation in last

Elks Schedule
Events for
Christmas
Nevada City Elks have planned three events for the Christmas season, a dinner for youths
from the California Youth Authority and administrators, a
teen dance and their annual
Children's party.
The CYA party is scheduled
for the 2ist, the teen dance
the 16th and the annual Children's party will be held on Dec.
17th,
The Children's Party, for the
children from 1 to 12 will feature Margaret Chamberlain of
Auburn and her Puppet Show,
presenting "Miss Maggie and
the Book-Bug." Mrs. Chamberlain has gained wide acclaim for
her presentations.
Elks officials said that everyone is welcome to attend the
show,
