The commission requested Womack to ask the Placer County Board of Supervisors if it wishes the commission itselfto hold a public hearing on the matter. Herbert Murch of Cherry Creek Acres, spokesman for the property owners in the proposed district, recently submitted the petition asking for formation of an improvement district. The area is east of Highway 49 about 12 miles south of Grass Valley. A group of 38 owners and 83, 432 acres are involved in the proposed district. The Nevada Irrigation District engineering department has already completed the preliminary cost estimates and the petition is the formal request to the Board of Directors asking for formation of the district. It is expected that a public hearing will be called by the directors soon. Mistletoe is a plant parasite that lives on many host trees, especially oaks in
