will be the site, next year, of
two institutes of benefit toteach-'
ers of English and Language
Arts.
The college has been notified
that National Defense Education
Act funds in the amount of more
than $133,000 have been granted
for institutes during the Summer
of 1968 and during the entire
1968-69 academic year. The University of Chicago is the only
other institution of higher learning designated to receive two
such grants,

Counties, California, near Auburn, Colfax, Grass Valley and
Nevada City, and affecting lands
of the United States within the
Tahoe National Forest, .
