She is the daughter of Mr, and Mrs, Robert Jobling of Grass Valley, Runner-up and the winner of $150 scholarship was Linda Matson, Second runner-up and receiving a $100 scholarship was Debi Austin of Grass Valley. Grass Valley, suffered a broken collarbone when his bicycle struck a car last week. He was thrown from his bike after colliding with a car driven by William W. Esterly, 72, 407 Alta Vista Avenue, Grass Valley. OREGON MAN INJURED--A Portland, Oregon man was slightly hurt when his car ran off icy Lower Banner Road and struck a large rock last Sunday. The California Highway Patrol cited Douglas Allan Smith, 23, Portland for traveling too fast for road conditions. Smith was treated at Sierra Nevada Memorial Hospital and released. SCHOOL DISPLAYS NEW BOOKS--New curriculum related books were exhibited last week at the library of the Nevada Union High School. This was the third annual review of new books, on display for evaluation and consideration.
