10-12 pound self-basting turkey
Prepare turkey according to instructions on . Stuff neck

Stuffing .
1 quart seasoned dry
bread cubes
8%, ounce can whole
kernel corn
1 teaspoon salt
\% teaspoon pepper
2 eggs, slightly ,
% cup butter
i? cup oe onion
4 cup diced green pepper
4 cup diced celery
1 cup broth
12-ounce package frozen
shredded potatoes,
thawed
Melt butter. Add onion, green pepper and celery. Cook over low
heat. until onion is clear. Add thawed shredded potatoes and broth.
Simmer 5 minutes. Pour:over bread cubes and corn: Add salt,
pepper and eggs. Stir gently to blend. .

following a deployment at Camp

a member of U. S, Naval Mobile
provided construction for the
U. S. Forces in the northermost
portion of South Vietnam and
was subjected to more than 50
enemy artillery and rocket attacks,

Navy construction battalion to
be assigned to Ha and was

Aviation Boatswain's Mate
Third Class William B, Winter,
USN, son of Mr. and Mrs, William P, Winter of Grass Valley,
has completed a refresher training cruise off the coast of San
Diego, Calif. aboard the antisubmarine warfare support aircraft carrier USS Yorktown.
During the training period the
ship stressed combat readiness
and held drills in fighting simulated fires. They also held general quarters drills for mock
bomb, rocket and torpedo attacks.
Prior to its current operating
schedule with the First Fleet,
the Yorktown underwent a seven
month overhaul at the Long
Beach Naval Shipyard,
