The field training exercise, emphasizing night withdrawal and attack, was part of the continuous training program conducted by the division. The resignation of Mr. Charles Litton as Chairman of the County Planhing Commission was read to the Board and action on the resignation was deferred. . Judge Verle Gray renred a report to the Board and requested that he be authorized to engage a fulltime Clerk in his office and the. matter was deferred. At this time a motion was made, duly seconded ‘and Passed unanimously, to adjourn for lunch to reconvene at 1:30 P.M. z AFTERNOON SESSION _ The Board reconvened tat 1:30 P.M. and all members of the Board were noted as present. This being the time heretofore set for a public hearing on the proposed Donner Lake Zoning as recommended by the Co Planning Commission,/Mr. Paul At. kinson Donner 2 Comp4ny protested the ‘pro-: posed zoning south of Summit Creek. Mr. Estes, President of the Donner Lake Property Owners Association, spcke to the Board briefly and stated that thé tty Owners Association was in favor of the proposed zoning as recommended. i The District Attorney then pesented the Board with proposed Ordinance No. 239 (an Ordinance amending Ordinance No. 196) and a motion was made by Supervisor Loehr, duly seconded, to adopt Ordinance No. 239 and upon a roll call ballot, a unanimous vote was recorded. Mr. Larry Quimby appeared before the Board as Foreman of the 1960 Grand Jury and again recommended that the County appoint the County Auditor as exofficio County Controller and gave various reasons why the Grand Jury felt a County -Controller was necessary. Mr. Al Boreland, hairman of the County Offices Committee, gave reasons why the Grand Jury felt the Centroller appointment should be made and also stated that he felt an ordinance should be adopted setting forth the qualifications for the County Auditor-Controller as contained in the Government Code. Robinson. and Mr. Leo Todd to determine if the property owners would be in a position to provide the county with deeds for the proposed roads.
