December 15, 1964 -Nevada County Nugget. . . bai IN THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS: OF THE COUNTY OF NEVADA STATE OF CALIFORNIA Regular Adjourned Meeting Present: Mr. John T. Trauner, County Clerk Mrs, Dean Lawrence, County Counsel The meeting was called to order at 10:00 o'clock A.M. by the Chairman of the Board, andit was noted Supervisor Hennessy was absent, and all other members of the Board were present. Upon motion, the minutes of the preceding meeting were approved as submitted. The County Auditor presented the Board with a Claims Register, showing thereon the claims due and payable by the County, and upon motion, the Chairman was authorized to sign the Register, thereby releasing the following Warrants for payment: Funds Warrants General Warrants 4727 -4823 Capital Outlay Warrants 51-55 Special AviationWarrants 35-37 Road Warrants 386 Amounts $9, 981. 87 1,706.12 3,561.09 4,500.00 Proposed Resolution 64-196 (Authorized Personnel Resolution) was presented to the Board, and upon motion, adopted. The County Budget Report was presented to the Board, covering the period from July 1, 1964 through December 11, 1964, and upon motion; the report was ac= cepted and ordered filed. Copies of the Grand Jury Audit Report were presented to the Board, and upon motion, accepted and ordered filed. The Agricultural Extension Service report was presented to the Board, and upon motion, ordered filed. Mr. Matthew Conidaris, Probation Officer, appeared before the Board concerning an employee problem at the Juvenile Hall, and the matter was referred to Supervisors Blake and Ricker, to study the problem and report to the Board. Mrs. Maxine Reed, rest-home operator, appeared before the Board conceming the amount of money paid to the rest homes in the area, and the matter was re~ ferred tothe County Welfare Committee for study. Atthistime(11:05 A.M.), the Chairman declared an executive session for the purpose of interviewing applicants for the position of County Welfare Director. AFTERNOON SESSION The meeting was reconvened at 1:30 P, M., as Board of Supervisors, upon the order of the Chairman, and all members of the Board were noted as present. Mr, H.J. The resignation was accepted, and the Clerk was directed to forward Mr, Crawford a letter of appreciation. This being the time heretofore set for a Public Hearing on the rezoning of Alta Vista Pines, a resume of proceedings to date was given to the Board. Mr. Howard Evans appeared before the Board and presented his argument in favor of the rezoning procedure. There was no one in the audience to speak in opposition to the proposed rezoning. The County Counsel presented the Board with proposed Ordinance 306 (an ordinance amending Ordinance 196), and upon motion, the ordinance was adopted. Upon motion, the Clerk was directed to publish Ordinance 306 in the Grass Valley Union. This being the time set for the consideration of an appeal from Donner Lake Lodge on the refusal to issue a use permit, a motion was made, and passed unanimously, granting a use permit to the Donner Lake Lodge for the parking of a mobile home on their property, fora period of one year. — Upon motion, the Planning Director was issued a minute order directing him to police the enforcement of use permits through cooperation of the Sheriff's Department. The matter of rezoning the Banner Mountain Area from an A-1 to an R-1 zone, was presented, andthe Planning Director rendered the report of the Planning Commission. 4 ~ Ordinance 807 was presented to the Board(an ordinance amending Ordinance 196), and upon motion, was adopted. Upon motion, the Clerk was directed to publish Ordinance 307 in the Grass Valley Union. Upon motion, Mr. Orin Bollinger was appointed as County Welfare Director, effective January 15, 1965. Upon motion, Mr, Earl ‘Smith was appointed as County Liason Officer, effective January 1, 1965. The ‘County Purchasing Agent appeared before the Board and rendered the report of his department. Federal Savings Building AUBURN andReady area, appeared before theBoard, reporting on the condition of the Rough and Ready Road. No action on the report was taken by the Board. Mr. Robert Graham, Road Commissioner, appeared and presented the Board with proposed Resolution 64-197 (a resolution establishing a select system of County roads), and upon motion, the resolution was adopted. The Planning Director present~ed the final map of Timber Trails Estates to the Board, and upon motion, the Chairman was authorized tosign the map, and accept it for recordation. There being no further business tocome before the Board, a motion was made by Supervisor Blake, duly seconded and passed unanimously to adjourn at 3:50 p.m. State of California County of Nevada I, JOHN T.
