Truck runs off road, hits pole
Grant Dahle of Smartville ran
off the left side of Folsom Road
Thursday evening and struck a
power pole.
Dahle, 64, was northbound on
Folsom Road in his pickup
truck, the California Highway
Patrol reports, north of French
Corral. Major damage listed for
Dahle’s truck in the 9:30 p.m.
accident.
CAR STOLEN
A car belonging to Rose Marie
Enderud of Nevada City was
reported stolen to Grass Valley
police Friday. The theft
occurred between 9:15 p.m., and
12:30. The vehicle was a red 1964
Chevrolet Impalla.

Kevin Shane Carey, 19, of
Camptonville ran off the side of
Highway 49 while making. a U
turn at 2 this morning. Carey’s
vehicle went down an embankment but was not damaged,
the CHP reports.
The large truck and trailer
had just passed another vehicle
Wednesday rather than Kenneth
Albert Pollard’s car, as was
incorrectly published in
Thursday’s Union. Pollard and
his passenger, Wilma Pollard,
were injured when their car slid
off Highway 20 in trying to avoid
the large truck. Both were
treated at Sierra Nevada
Memorial Hospital and
released. The Union’s article
said Pollard had just passed
another car, it was the truck,
driven by John Edward Lenz, 47,
of Fernley, Nev., which had just
passed another vehicle.
