Major schools in western
Nevada County are contemplating the formation of a
cooperative transportation
system to be operated by the
county superintendent’s office.
Ed Fellersen, county
superintendent, Wednesday told
members of the board of
education that a meeting with
representatives of a number of
schools indicated a strong interest in the project. Another
meeting is planned for next
month.
Also the board adopted a new
salary schedule for county
school’s office employes. The
new schedule will give more
money to those with more
responsibility. It will be worked

graduating scale with the
position of county superintendent on the highest level.
Previously salary schedules
provided for all getting the same
daily pay rate with the dif-.

hours worked. Fellersen said

number of counties practice the
level of responsibility salary
