Vets’ building
furnace OK
The 41-year-old furnace in the
Grass Valley Veterans Building
is huffing and puffing again after
giving up the ghost and forcing
closure of the building Dec. 8.
The furnace caught fire and
because of lack of warmth the
building was closed to the public
until today.
Mrs. Ginger Marquard,
county superintendent of
building and grounds, said the
building is now available. for
public engagements.
The furnace has been given a
new burner and generally
patched up and Mrs. Marquard
anticipates it has some more
years of service. She reported
that it has been operating
successfully for the past 24
hours.
