December 31, 1964, IT WAS SLOW going for drivers in Hills Flat last week as the rains came faster than the drains could carry it away. This view was taken in front of Morgan Ford. THE ONLY WAY to view a snow storm is from the inside looking out. Accordingly this view was shot early this week from inside the Nugget office. WOLF CREEK IN Grass Valley was almost ready to go over the bridge in the Kramer lot off Colfax Avenue last week. GUSHING RIVERS were evident along roads throughout the county last week. This torrent was created along the Grass Valley -NevadaCity Highway near Hills Flat. NEVADA IRRIGATION DISTRICT'S new Rollins Reservoir captured water at what must go down as a record rate lastweek. The dam designed to hold back 65,000 acre feet of water was closed off about It had been estimated that it would take two years to fill twoweeks and is now full and spilling. e at the left and from the outlet tunthe reservoir in a normal year.
