of Nancy May Burns, daugh#
ter of Mr. and Mrs. George
A. Burns, Grass Valley, and
Gerald George Wasley, son
of Mr. and Mrs. George R.
Wasley, Grass Valley.

double ring ceremony,
The bride was gowned in
a floor length white peau
taffeta made with a sweetheart neckline with lace inserts in the bodice and bouffant skirt, ending in a short
train. Theback of the waist
was finished with a large
butterfly bow. The sleeves
were long and tapered over
the hands. Her bouffant elbow length silk illusion veil

of pearls and aurora borealis
crystals, She wore a single
strand of crystals, a gift of
the groom. For the traditional something old, she carried

batteau neckline, elbow
length sleeves and softly
pleated skirt. Their white
tule face veils were topped
with circlets of white fur,
matching their muffs’ on
which were white orchid
corsages.
George Wasley attended
asbest man. William Burns,
brother of the bride, and
Harry Chappel lit the candles
and acted as ushers with Ambrose Swartz, brother-in-law
of the groom, assisting:
Mrs, Burns, mother of the
bride, chose a smoke blue
sheath of peau de soie, with
matching accessories, white
feather hat, and a purple
orchid corsage, for her
daughter's wedding. The
groom's mother wore a blue
silk print with matching accessories, Her corsage was a
lavender orchid.
Preceding the ceremony,
Wendell O gard, Irvington,
sang "Because", and as the
couple knelt in prayer, he
sang "O Perfect Love", accompanied by Mrs. Antone
Rogina at the organ.
. Immediately following
the impressive ceremony, a
reception washeld in the
Vetgrans Building, Nevada
City, where the many relatives and friends watched the
traditional cutting of the
wedding cake made and
served by the bride's aunt,
Mrs, William Tilton, and
daughter Doris. The punch
bowls were presided over by
Mary Lou Joye and Penny
Morateur. Mrs. Ambrose
Swartz, sister of the groom,
had charge of the guest book.
