Merchandise from localand Northern California artists has a crew busy pricing items to be sold at the 11th Annual Artists Christmas Fair. Seenand 10 Churches Join In Successful Thanksgiving Ten churches participated in one of the most successful Union Thanksgiving Services ever held in this community. An overflow crowd packed the Community Baptist church with large groups from most of the churches. Rev. Robert Noble, Rev. Darrell Hoyle, Rev. B.J. Morford, Rev. Nick Vander Veur, and Rev. Richard M, Betts took parts in the Order of Service. Two choirs, childrens and adult, sang, led by Mrs. Robert Wyckoff and Mrs. R.V. Johnston. Secaeannnnel David Casper Wins Award David Casper, Nevada County 4H member, won one of two national scholarships awarded to California 4H members attending the National organization's congress in Chicago. Jill Johnson, Fowler, was the second California 4H winner of a $500 scholarship to the college chosen by the club's members. Casper was chosen as a national winner in the 4H agricultural program. His scholarship was aw arded by International Harvester company. Miss Johnson won her scholarship for excellence in foods-nutrition. Her scholarship was awarded by General Foods Corp.
