Grass Valley, a big turkey dinner is being planned. Hosts of
the event are co-owners, Mr. and Mrs. German.
On Sunday, Dec. 10, the men will cook a breakfast. Usually they sut the windows and doors tightly because of the pancakes, which are reportedly so light and tender that they just
might float away. Jerry Howard is recognized by the "villagers" as the "Pancake King," because of his mastery of the
art. However, Tom Davis, manager, has proved he is also one
of the best when he made cakes at the last breakfast. Mayor
Northwood and Vern Cantrell are two of the fry cooks, they
really put out the bacon and eggs.
Every Monday, the bowling team goes down to the Gold
Bowl to try to improve their skill. They expect to be a chal
lenge to the other teams soon,
Tuesday, is knitting class, with Mrs. Helen Holland as
teacher, The women are busy making many beautiful things
such as sweaters, coats and many other items.
Wednesday is Art Class Day, with Mary Case as teacher,
A big Art and Hobby Show is being planned early in the Spring.
At Mountain Air Mobile Park we have a new resident,
Mrs. May Sanderson, who has traveled all over the world
and her lovely mobilhome is filled with exquisiste examples
of the arts and crafts of the different nations she has visited.
Mr, and Mrs. Einar Anderson have sold their lovely large
home on Timbur Lane in Grass Valley and have purchased a
beautiful new mobil home. Einar reportedly has a very green
thumb, and it is expected by the neighbors that they will have
one of the prettiest spaces in the park, Their son, Alfred,
is interested in horses and has many trophies on display to
show his skill with them,
There are also three artists in the park. Mrs. Kenny,
Miss Barbara Kenny and Mrs. Drusilla D, Lane. Three generations of one family and all artists in their field. We are
very proud of them.
Many mobil home owners in this area have voiced their
feelings that they feel very fortunate to live in this beautiful
country, and to be a part of the community among friendly people.
Next week, we expect to have more news from other parks.
