The Camptonville March of Dimes given in the school auditorium the night of Jan. 20 was a success, drawing a large crowd and clearing about $140. Arch Brocks’ dance band furnished the music. Colin: King’s classes decorated the auditorium beautifully. There was a canopy over the whole auditorium made of crepe paper streamers in the red and orange shades. Below that, narrow semicurved canopies ran the length of the room on each side, and were made of green, blue and _ yellow crepe paper streamers. On stage, behind the orchestra, was a huge lighted sub-burst made of yellow and light green celophane, with a large replica of a dime in the center. The same sun-burst and dime WOMEN ... Near the entrarice were modernistic designed and lighted ‘columns covered in the colored celophane. . Camptonville Womens Club _members.---furnished and served refreshments of sandwiches, coffee and punch. McCauley’s bakery denated a large beautifully decorated cake on which was a doll with a crutch, representing a crippled child. Also the inscription, “Thanks for the Dimes.” Michael Brown won the door prize. Many other people wen lovely and useful prizes.
