WEATHER
Our weather picture in Nevada
County seems to have settled
down to arecord setting rain
season, Our rainfall total in
Nevada City totaled 37,19
inches for the season, last week,
As of press time this week it
now totals 43.60, A fall of
6.41 inches for the week; “The
total compares with 30, 28 inche:
last season,
The heavy fall during the week
and accompanying warmer weather has melted the snow up to
‘about 5000 feet and brought
down heavy drainage. This
with the new rains has created
several land and mud slides in
the county. North San Juan had
its highway blocked for several
hours Monday. There are others
about the county. and if the
steady rains continue there will
be more. The weather man
predicts a let up in the storm .
