MOBILE LIVING
fai
_ Penn Valley Mobile Ranch was
host at their Friday night pot.
luck to members of Golden State
Mobilhome Owners League. After a delicious variety of food
was served, and eaten, and all
the announcements for the week
taken care of, the speaker from
Golden State Mobilhome Owners
League spoke on ‘‘Taxes and
the Mobile Home as the Gen.
eral Public Thinks’’, and the
“Truth on Mobile Taxation’ according to research by many
communities, companies and research foundations.
The truth is that the mobile
home owner more than pays his
share of taxes, when compared
with . the single conventional
dwelling on much larger land
area,
We also spoke on the new
$25 use tax that had been under
consideration by our board of
supervisors, ‘which would have
been put upon every mobile home
owner who had bought land, and
brought in electricity at quite
a cost, paid permits for septic
tanks inspection, gas inspection,
lights, etc., many times having
to have a road rocked, and
smoothed. at their own expense,

down! It will be a good day
for all when the fact was revealed that 99 per cent of the
mobile home owners pay a large
share of the taxes in the com.
minities in which they are
placed.
On March 1 (FRIDAY) at 7:30
there will be a meeting of all
mobile home owners that have
their homes on their own land,
and every one of these owners
are urged to attend. It will be
held at the Rough and Ready
Grange Hall (Community) at
Rough and Ready, approx 414
Miles from Grass Valley on the
Marysville Hwy. -_
In case there is anyone who
does not know this fact, Grass
Valley and some parts of Nevada County are the only towns
that permit mobiles on private
property.
Let us keep it that way by
proving to those in authority
that we are good citizens, we
do pay our share of taxes, and
we do like to live in this beautiful country. :
There will be news from all
our Parks next time; we felt
that it was best to publicize this
matter, at this time.
