Competition
Applications went out to
every junior and senior high
school in California today
inviting their home economics departments to take
part in the largest "Sew-ItYourself" competition éver
staged in California. The
event is part of “California's
Spring Festival" being staged
at the State Fairgrounds in
Sacramento, April 15 through
23.
The festival is jointly spon.
sored by the California State
and Sacramento County
fairs. Because it is being
held in the Spring, school
participation is being planned in every section of the =
State,

Club held its’ regular meeting at the home of Mildred
Horton on the night of Feb.
2nd. with president Gladys
Groves_presiding. After. the
business meeting, the hostess
served delicious refreshments
and a social evening was enjoyed. The Myster Package
sent by Ruth Van Order went
to Tivie Brown. The next
regular meeting will be held
March 2 nd. at the home of
Freda Del Porto.

Sutton of Downieville had a
heart attact and was taken to
Jones Memorial Hospital in
Grass Valley Jan. 27.

returned home, is back in
the hospital again this time
at Jones Hospital in Grass
Valley.
