Sew-It Competition Applications went out to every junior and senior high school in California today inviting their home economics departments to take part in the largest "Sew-ItYourself" competition éver staged in California. The event is part of “California's Spring Festival" being staged at the State Fairgrounds in Sacramento, April 15 through 23. The festival is jointly spon. sored by the California State and Sacramento County fairs. Because it is being held in the Spring, school participation is being planned in every section of the = State, For the "Sew -It-Yourself" competition, girls from the 7th grade through high school i are competing for $1750 in U.S. Savings Bonds as prizes.
