tw Beeves Won At Open House A large crowd of members and > local and out of town guests of the . Nevada County Council for Retarded Children attended an open house program held by the council Saturday night in the Gold Flat Special School. The purpose of the event was two fold, First, the council wanted to acquaint members of the community and out of town residents with the work of the ‘council, the staff and the procounty. Members of the council were pleased to learn Saturday night that the organization had been selected as the first project for the newly-formed Neva-Lions, auxiliary of the Nevada City Lions Club. Neva-Lions president Mrs, Gwen Christie and Mrs. Joe Griggs attended the open house program Saturday to present a $40 check to NCCRC president Mrs, Tilly Hoagland.
