Eva George. She was the widow
of Frank George of the George
Brothers Foundry. She was the
aunt of Mrs. Beatrice Bates, Mrs.
Marian Drew and Ardell Irving,
all of Sacramento, Clinton Holland, Grass Valley, and Charles
Pinch, Antioch. She was a native of Grass Valley aged 79 years
anda well known member of the
community, First Baptist Cnurcn
funeral services were held in the
Hooper Weaver Mortuary Feb. Als
Burial was in Elm Ridge Lawn.

BELL---in Coachella, January
24, 1964, I.C. (Ike) Bell. He was
the husband of Josephine, Coachella, and father of Bea Holmes,
Auburn. Bell was a former Nevada .
City resident and while residing
here was active in the chamber
of commerce and other civic ac~
tivities. He was in the real estate
business and wasthe former owner
of the Union Hotel and other local
properties.

SPROHS ---in the Miners Hospital February 12, 1964, John
Sprohs. He was the husband of
Grace Sprohs of Nevada City;
brother of Katherine McBreen,
Gertrude Sprohs, Frances Thompson and Florence Tiffany, all of
Capitola. He was a native of
Springfield, Mo., aged 60 years.
He had lived in this area for five
years and was fire commissioner
of the 49er Volunteer Fire Depart~
ment district. A funeral mass was
mheld-in-the-St~ Ganice Catholic
Church Feb. 15. Burial was in
the Sierra Lawn Memorial Cemetery.
