Mrs, Jennie Barnett was born and raised in Woodland as was her
daughter, Mrs, Gustafson, Mrs, Elliott, or Jane to her many
Nevada City friends, was born in Marysville, Mrs; Cronin has
Wendell, Idaho, for her birthplace, while her small daughter
came to her in Yuba City, Thus all but Mrs, Cronin were born
within a radius of fifty miles, Another seldom found fact is that
the three eldest have the same middle name of Elnora, Jane says
“she goofed and decided to be different and:broke the chain",
Mrs, Barnett and Mrs, Gustafson came to Nevada City approximately 25 years ago, Jane and her husband came approximately
two and one-half years ago from Yuba City, and are well known
as the Nevada City Florists,
All three ladies have been most active in civic affairs and club
work, Being native daughters, they have become affiliated with
the Native Daughters of the Golden bse Laurel Parlor No, 6,
of Nevada City. They are also members of the Rebekah Lodge-Mrs, Barnett became a member of the Sylvan Rebekah Lodge of
Woodland in 1913, and today as a past noble grand is still active
inthe Neva Rebekah Lodge where she ‘is a suipporter to’-her grand
daughter, Jane, whois Noble Grand of that ‘lodge, Janes mother,
Mrs, Gustafson, who is also a past noble grand, has also been
