2 The Nevada County Nugget — Wednesday, February 24, 1971 Sounding Board THE SOUNDING BOARD ASKED SIX PEOPLE WHOSE PICTURE IS ON A $50 BILL AND GOT BUT ONE POSITIVE AND CORRECT ANSWER, The Sounding Board unsure of the answer queried a bank employe who in turn looked on a $50 bill:to come up with the answer. Howard Wasley at the Nevada City Post Office aided in some research and gave the following information concerning names on all denomination of bills. They are: $1, Washington; $2, Jefferson; $5, Lincoln; $10, Hamilton; $20, Jackson; $50, Grant; $100, Franklin; $500, McKinley; $1,000, Cleveland; $5,000, Madison; $10,000, Chase.
