both sides the Sheriffs’ names were
scratched 120 times ‘and the Recorders’ 144 times. There were hardly
any straight ballots on either side.
His honor concluded his remarks, the
substance only of which is given above,
by giving judgment in favor of the
contestantin accordancé with the tally
ofthe recount. He requested counsel
for the contestant to prepare findings
and judgmentin accordance with
such decision. Five days’ stay of
proceedings was granted.
