Worthy . matron and patron, } Maybelle and Howard Keene, . officiated over the regular bus— iness session, During’ the reports of com— mittees, Mrs, Harriet Kittredge, chairman for the cancer dressing station, reported-on the Jan, _ 12 meeting, in spite of the in. clement weather, 30 were present to work on bed pads for tho use of cancer patients, ; Visitors during this meeting were Alice Koone, state chairman for the cancer ‘dressing stations from the southern part of the state and district chairman June Chrysler of Sacramento, coordinator between the American Cancer Society and the Eastern Star, Mrs, Kittredge once again reminded all that these meetings will be held from 10 a.m. 2 p.m., the 2nd and 4th Monday of each month, in the Masonic hall in Grass Valley. They are open to anyone desirous of aiding in -making dressings for cancer patients. Bring a sack lunch and coffee or tea will be served. Further information may be had by calling Mrs. Kittredge at . _ 265-2287, Worthy patron Keene's birththe officers, dressed as snowmen, depicting a snow scene complete with snow balls, as Bob McMasters, associate patron, read a version of "Frosty, the Snow Man". Presentation of a gift from the officers was made to Keene by Evelyn Lewis, associate matron. Augusta Smith, chairman, assisted by Jane Sommers and. Lenore Coughlin were hostesses for the evening.
