Feb. 7 1373 Three county Grass Valley, Nevada City Restaurants road projects get approval Three Nevada County projects were among those approved by .the State Department of Public Works this month as part of $6 million allocated to correct areas with high accident rates. The widening of Highway 20 west of the Bear River is one of the projects and includes trimming back the cut banks of the highway to increase the sight distance of motorists. The project is estimated to cost $100,000. ’ Also included in the budget is the realignment of the connection between Highway 20 and Squirrel Creek Road near the west city limit of Grass Valley to provide a better angle of intersection, and construction of a left-turn storage lane. for westbound traffic. This project will cost $17,000.
