Set For January 23
A benefit breakfast to raise
funds for the junior and senior
proms at Mount Saint Mary's High
School in Grass Valley will be
held from 8 a.m, to noon Jan, 23
in Saint Patrick's Church Hall on
‘Chapel and Church Streets.
Mrs. Herb Dodini, chairman of
the event, invites local residents
to bring the entire family out to
Sunday breakfast. Notickets will
be sold, but a donation will be
asked at the door to help defray
the costs of the dances for the
junior and senior classes,

Park, went over plans for the Clampers to provide some of the first
picnic area facilities for the park during a luncheon meeting Friday
in the National Hotel in Nevada City.

will get its first park facilities
from Nevada County residents
too,

and Parks and local officers of

Ancient and Honorable Order of

The luncheon was scheduled at

portion of the park for development by the Clampers.

be called by the Clampers, will
be available on reservations for
Clamper functions, but will be
open to the public at all other
times,

the luncheon and asked the park
officials to consider inclusion of
horse trailer parking. facilities,

and a camp site that could be a
base. camp for the growing
number of trail riders inthe
county. Leffingwell said the
preliminary land use plan in~
cludes a horse area in conjunction
with the riding and hiking trails.
Whitaker suggested this matter
be brought up when the park plan
is reviewed with the county
planning director.
Aside from the acquisition of
one house in the townsite of North
Bloomfield which is now the
temporary headquarters for the
one park ranger and his family,
and the purchase of a few other
lots in the town, the offer by the
Clampers igthe first move toward
erecting facilities at the park.
