Jeffery, 68, the wife: of Lee and sister. of George and Robert Riviere, both of Louisiana and Lucy White of New York. Mrs, Jeffery, a native of New Iberia, La., has been a resident of Grass Valley 33 years and was active in women's groups of the Catholic Church. A funeral mass was said Jan. 12 in St. Patrick's Catholic Church, with burial in St, Patrick’s Cemetery. Hooper -Weaver Mortuary was in charge of arrangements, tit + 4 4+ . SMITH--in Folsom Jan, 6, 1966, Eva S. Smith, 83, the sister of Charles H. Halt of Folsom and Lily Sciaroni of Nevada City. A native of Birchville, Nevada County, she worked for a period in Los Angeles, but was residing in Nevada City at the time of her death, Funeral services were heldin the Bergemann and Son Funeral Chapel Jan. 10, Burial was in the French Corral Cemetery. + ++ + + RICHARDS --in Nevada City, Jan. 5, 1966, Thomas James Richards, 84, the brother of Margaret Annie Richards and William H. Richards, both of Nevada: City. Richards came to Nevada City at the age of two years. Heattended local schools and worked at Rahr's Carriage Shop, Grissell's Meat Market and the Champion Mine. He moved to Sacramesto and returned here in 1946. She was a native of Denver, Colo., anda 19 year resident of Grass Valley. She is a former member of Sequoia Chapter No. 203 Eastern Star.
