Accidents with horses are not
unusual but Rough and Ready
has. been having more than its
share lately. Jay Cullum of the
Rough and Ready Service Station has a badly strained wrist
and hand, a result of a fall
from a horse last weekend, We
only have one horse left at our
place and she is 36 (yes thirtysix) years old. She has certainly
reached the age of reason but I
think T'll take a few extra precautions just the same.

Mrs. Arnold Turner and her
family spent Christmas in So.
Calif., with her eldest daughter
Shirley and her family, especially the little one, granddaughter
Sherry. It was a pleasant holiday for Arvetta who is so busy
keeping the rest of us well
groomed that she seldom gets
away. They got home just before the tule fog closed in on
the valley. Hea

Mr. and Mrs, Wm. Potter,
Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Lovely
and Mr, and Mrs. L, E, Schnoar,
who are the only residents ofthe
street, have selected the name
they wish proposed as their
Rough and Ready street: name.
They want to live on Lady Bug
Lane. This is extremely appropriate since Schnoar raises lady
bugs. These little creatures are
great friends of the gardners
and Mrs, Lovely is an avid gardner, The lady bugs like aphids
consume quantities of them. Another unusual quality they have
is the ability to be shipped frozen
to their new homes. The Wm.
Potters are the front residents
on the lane and Mrs. Potter
is Rough and Ready'’s newest
antique dealer. What a clever
address for her advertising,

we haven't come up with very
