by Western Fairs Association, largest regional trade organization of its kind. The association, a non-pro— fit organization with headquarters in Sacramento, publishes an annual "Date List," circulated among member fairs in 26 states and five Canadian provinces, with total fairtime attendance of 32,000,000. Louis S, Merrill, general manager, said the 83 California events will span a total of 497 days, starting with the February 14-23 National Date Festival in Indio, and closing with the November 27-30 Santa Barbara National Amateur Horse Show. The Date List includes names and addresses of fairs, 151 service members such as carnivals, bookingagents, and decorating firms; 27 service associates consisting mostly of breed organizations, and number of sus-taining memberships, including the major racing associations in California, ¢ City NSGW, and Muller Chapman of Marysville, member of the local . parlor, recipient of a 25-year membership pin.
