January 27, 1966...Nevada County Nugget... eS) Grand Old Party Lags In Registration Nevada County Clerk Ted Kohler, just in time to adda little spice to the rapidly developing political battle in the county and the state, last week released the official 1966 registration figures for the county. As usual, the Democrats hold a slight registration edge. Nevada City has the distinction of being the only area in the county with more registered Republicans than Democrats, There are four more Republicans than Democrats in the city. In another voter action, Kohler presented the board with a breakdown of the percentage of the voters in the districts, The report showed 21,91 percent in District
One; 30.14 per cent in District Two; 18.28 per cent in District Three; 20.35 per cent in District Four and 9, 29 per cent in District Five.
