The bride was lovely in her gown of white lace over taffeta with a touch of the traditional "blue, something old, something new." She carried a white orchid on a white Bible. Margaret Pello, sister of the bride, was the Maid of Honor. She wore a street length dress of champagne taffeta with matching accessories. She carried white and pink carnations. Joanie, Kristine and Eileen Pello were flower girls dressed in grey and white striped taffeta, carrying pink and white carnations. The bridegroom was attended by Daniel Pello as his bestman. Dick Siebreck and John Bigely ushered. Tothe strains of Lohengrin ‘from the organ, the bride was escorted down the aisle and given in marriage by her Samuel Pello, who acted for her father who was ill, Preceeding the wedding march, the groom's mother, in lavender with matching accessories, and purple orchid, andthe bride's mother in black crepe with black accessories and a white orchid, were seated. The bride was a graduate of Mt. Saint Mary's with the class of 1956. She has since been employed by the Inter County Title Co. of Nevada City. The groom was graduated from the Downievilleschools in 1954, and has since been employed by the State Division of Highways. Following the ceremony, the young couple was honored with a reception held in the Elk's HallinNevada City, where they received the congratulations of their many relatives and friends who attendedthe ceremony . The young couple will make their home on Wild Plum Road, Sierra City, where the groom will continue his employment with the State Highway, until Spring when they will take a belated honeymoon, MR. & MRS.
