Adjourned Regular Meeting Present: Theo, A. Kohler, Jr., County
December 30, 1965 Clerk Leo J, Todd, County
Counsel
The Board was called to order at the hour of 10:01 A.M, and the
following Supervisors were noted as present; Lov Hartman, Donald
Blake andGeneM, Ricker, Chairman, It was noted that Supervisor
Bret J, Bennallack and Henry G, Loehr were absent,
A motion was made, duly seconded and passed unanimously,
approving the minutes of the preceeding meeting, as presented by
the Clerk,
At this time, the Board canvassed the votes of the Watt Park Fire
Protection District, and a motion was made by Supervisor Blake,
seconded by Supervisor Hartman and upon a roll call ballot, passed
unanimously, to adopt Resolution 65-238 (A Resolution establishing
the Watt Park Fire Protection District, and appointing Directors of
said District. )
Resolution 65-2389 (A Resolution annexing Olympic Heights Subdivision, into the Truckee Fire Protection District) adopted,
Resolution 65-240 (A Resolution annexing certain properties into
the Bullion Fire District) adopted,
Resolution 65-241 (A Resolution approving Agreement between
the County and the Division of Highways, on FAS Road Pleasant
Valley Road) adopted,
At this time, Mr, Frank Graham, appeared before the Board,
representing the Nevada County Soil Conservation District,
Mr, Graham reported that the Soil Conservation District is holding
$5,000.00, of AB-1144 Grant-In-Aid Funds, This money cannot
be released unless they can assure the State that they can provide
some monies for matching funds,
The Soil Conservation District is asking that the Board allocate
the following money, for the years indicated:
1966-67 $1, 000,00
+ 1967-68. 3,000, 00
1968-69 3,000, 00
/ 1969-70 3,000, 00
Forthe $10,000,00 that the County would allocate, the State and
Federal Government would match with $145,000.00, to be used for
a "Soil Survey Study” of Nevada County,
A lengthy discussion ensued, and the matter was deferred until
January 3, 1966, until a full Board is present, before any action is
taken by the Board,
The mid-month meeting of the Board was set as January 20, 1966,
There being no further business to come before the Board, the
meeting was adjourned, ;
